HELPING TO PROTECT YOU AND YOUR ENVIRONMENT – NATURALLY

Mould Treatment

Natural mould remediation refers to the process of removing and treating mould infestation using environmentally friendly and not-toxic methods. Instead of relying on harsh chemicals and synthetic solutions, natural mould remediation focuses on utilizing natural ingredients and techniques to effectively eliminate mould and prevent its regrowth. We have a four-part mould remediation Plan.
  1. Investigate the cause of mould growth. –minimising future mould growth.
  2. Remediate the property. – physical mould removal.
  3. Fogging to eliminate air borne mould spores – minimising recolonisation.
  4. A maintenance action plan for the occupants. – to control future outbreaks.
Dealing with mould in your home can be concerning, but prompt and effective remediation is essential to protect your health and preserve the integrity of your property. Mould can impact a broad range of health issues, for example:
  • Respiratory disorders such as asthma, sinus congestion / infections
  • Constant fatigue, tiredness
  • Unexplained ongoing cold and flu symptoms
  • Eye irritations & skin irritations

Fogging

  • Fogging is a process of atomising our specially formulated, water based product that is powered by five therapeutic grade essential oils into a fine mist of between 7-10 micron particles which penetrate areas we are not able to reach by normal cleaning methods.
  • Our special blend of essential oils of lemon, cinnamon,Tea-tree eucalyptus and clove have been proven to remediate all forms of toxic moulds.
  • Once deployed using our ULV cold fine micron fogging machine, the essential oils move to vapour phase reaching into and treating the entire room/s and their contents.
  • Please check with all residents that they do not have an issue with any of the five essential oils being deployed within the home. If there is an issue please let us know prior to us commencing works.

Inspection and reporting

Mould inspection and reporting are critical steps in identifying and addressing mould issues in a home or building. Here’s a detailed description of the process:
    1. Initial Assessment

      •  Visual Inspection: The Technician conducts a
thorough visual examination of the property, looking for visible
signs of mould growth, water damage, and moisture. Common areas of
inspection include basements, attics, bathrooms, kitchens, and
        around windows and pipes.
    1. Moisture Detection

      •  Moisture Meters: These devices measure the moisture in the air, walls, floors, and ceilings. High moisture levels can indicate areas at risk for mould growth.
      • Infrared Cameras: Thermal imaging cameras can
detect temperature differences that may indicate the presence of
moisture behind walls or under floors.
    1. Air and Surface Sampling

      •  Air Sampling: Air samples are collected to
measure the concentration of mould spores in the indoor air. This
can help identify hidden mould sources not visible during the
        visual inspection.
      • Surface Sampling: Swabs or tape lifts are used to
collect samples from surfaces suspected of mould contamination.
These samples are analysed in a laboratory to identify the types
        of mould present.
    1. Laboratory Analysis

      •  Identification: The collected samples are sent
to a laboratory where they are analyzed to identify the types and
        concentrations of mould present.
      • Report Generation: The laboratory results are
compiled into a detailed report, which includes information on the
specific mould species found and their potential health effects.
    1. Reporting

      • Detailed Report: The mould inspection report typically includes :

        • Visual Findings: Documentation of visible
mould growth, water damage, and areas of concern.
        • Moisture Readings: Results from moisture
meters and thermal imaging, highlighting areas with elevated
          moisture levels.
        • Sample Results: Laboratory analysis of air
and surface samples, identifying mould species and
          concentrations.
        • Photographs: Images of affected areas to
provide visual evidence of the findings.
        • Recommendations: Suggestions for remediation
and actions to prevent future mould growth. This may include
specific cleaning methods, repairs to address moisture
          sources, and improvements in ventilation.
  1. Remediation Plan

    • Remediation Recommendations: Based on the
inspection findings, a remediation plan is developed to remove
mould and address the underlying moisture issues. This plan may
involve professional mould remediation services, especially for
      extensive contamination.

Conclusion: Mould inspection and reporting are essential steps in maintaining a
healthy indoor environment. By identifying and addressing mould issues
promptly, property owners can prevent further damage and health problems
associated with mould exposure.
